Read and play

Practice reading notes

Adimuse/Read-and-play : Practice reading notes

 Project genesis

Building on the success of the ear-and-play application, I have developed it into an application designed to work on reading notes.

 Overview

A specific application, based on the Adimuse software, offers to randomly display notes among those mastered by the user on the instrument of his choice.

After each note displayed by the app, the user has a certain amount of time to play the note on his instrument. If the note is good, it's won. If the note is wrong, he is prompted to try again. If Ihe waits too long, the app moves on to the next note.

To facilitate note detection, it is possible for the user to tune his instrument via the tuner integrated into the application.

The application displays the tessitura (all the notes available on the chosen instrument), and allows me to specify which notes I master (This information comes from the Adimuse application and is shared with all Adimuse applications).

 Objectives

    This application has two objectives:

    • Practice reading notes,
    • Facilitate the learning of an instrument.

 Status

 Openings

If the application is operational, there are some points that I would like to improve:

    • Review the interface to give it a more attractive appearance,
    • Add additional levels of difficulty by having intervals and chords read,
    • Adding a progression curve is always nice and encouraging to see your progress.
